Setting up hosting
If your plan supports hosting, we can host your content for you.
How to add hosting
- Navigate to App > Hosting.
- Turn on Public hosting and click save changes to enable the feature.
- You should see a URL that's been generated for your app under the Subdomain section. Click on that URL to get a preview of what your page will look like.
- If you'd like, you can add your own domain under Custom domain section (eg: "locations.example.com"). Please be sure to create a CNAME record in your DNS to point to your provided subdomain name.
Please note: If you are changing an existing DNS entry to direct customers to your locator, it may require significant lead time to make the switch based on your DNS TTL (Time to Live). To avoid delays in configuring your locator, we recommend reducing your existing TTL to 15 minutes at least 24 hours before you plan to switch over to minimize any delay. When you change the DNS entry to direct to the hosted locator you can return to your normal TTL.
There are other settings available to adjust for your locator. The example HTML and CSS show how you can customize your hosted content to look like your own site.
